Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. presents another exciting First Friday, with the timely theme of “Back to School”. Head to downtown Perrysburg for an evening filled with non-stop fun and entertainment, including games, activities, live entertainment and special performances the entire family will enjoy! The city of Perrysburg has a lot going on during the Friday leading up to Labor Day, as the Historic Perrysburg Friday Night Cruise In is happening as well! Every Friday from May 6 through October 14, O~Deer Diner presents this car show featuring all car makes and models. Enjoy free registration, a driver’s pool, prizes, music, a raffle and more! You may either register at the event or at O~Deer Diner.

Head to the Toledo Farmers’ Market
An obvious way to savor summer is with a visit to the Toledo Farmers’ Market, where you can stock up on farm-fresh ingredients to incorporate into your Labor Day BBQ dishes! Head downtown to experience this bustling market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a myriad of vendors selling everything from fruit to local honey and everything in between. In particular, peaches, sweet corn and tomatoes will be abundant at the market by Labor Day weekend. Enjoy Saturday Night at the Movies
Downtown Perrysburg, Inc. hosts several fun ongoing events throughout the summer, including their Saturday Night at the Movies, an outdoor movie night each Saturday through October 1 from 8–10 p.m. at the Commodore Schoolyard. Bring your own chairs or blanket and snuggle up to a larger-than-life movie on a huge screen, and leave your wallets behind because admission is free! This fun family event is presented by O~Deer Diner, Fricker’s, Way Public Library and the Perrysburg Messenger Journal. Listen to Dan Robertson at Chateau Tebeau Winery
One of the most relaxing ways to spend a Saturday evening is with a glass of wine in hand while you hear live music playing just feet away. Dan Robertson is performing live at Chateau Tebeau Vineyard & Winery on Saturday evening starting at 6:30 p.m. Dan is well known in the northeast and central Ohio area for his guitar virtuosity and has been the lead guitar player for several national acts that have passed through the area, including The Guess Who, Steve Camp and the Imperials!
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
Admire the Elmore Fireworks
Head to Well Park in Elmore for an action-packed day culminating in a spectacular fireworks show at 10 p.m. The festivities of the Lowell Krumnow Memorial Fireworks Event start at 3:30 p.m., including food and beverages, a fire department challenge kickball game, and live entertainment! Have a Blast at the Uncle Sam Jamboree
Head to UAW Oscar Bunch Family Park in Toledo for the Uncle Sam Jamboree, featuring music, food, games, displays, a concert and more! This patriotic family fun day will last from noon until 9 p.m.
Go to a Classic Car Show in Maumee
The car shows are not in short supply during Labor Day weekend, as there will be a free family-friendly car show at the Historic Commercial Building in Maumee from 12–3 p.m. on Sunday — and every Sunday through September! This free Classic Car Show will feature prize giveaways to the participants, oldies from DJ Dale, a 50/50 raffle, and food and beverages available for purchase. Watch the Mud Hens Play the Columbus Clippers
We can’t think of a better way to celebrate the unofficial end of summer than at one of the two final Mud Hens games of the season. On either Sunday or Monday of Labor Day weekend, watch them play the Columbus Clippers at Fifth Third Field. The Sunday game starts at 6:05 p.m., so make plans to grab a drink at Fleetwood’s Tap Room, Hensville’s new craft beer bar, before or after the game!

Watch the Mud Hens Play the Columbus Clippers...Again
If you couldn’t make it to their Sunday game, head to Fifth Third Field for another Mud Hens game against the Columbus Clippers on Monday at 1:05 p.m. In fact, this is their very last game of the season! There’s no better place to celebrate Labor Day than the exciting atmosphere at the stadium, especially when you enjoy an amazing dinner at NINE at Hensville after the game.
